Reserve comeback for Boro's Arca

Arca signed for Boro last summer
Middlesbrough defender Julio Arca returned to action after recovering from a broken foot by turning out for the reserves on Monday.
The 25-year-old played for 68 minutes during the 1-1 draw at Blackburn.

It was the former Sunderland player's first taste of football since breaking his foot in the 3-2 defeat at Reading on the opening day of the season.

Fellow defender Robert Huth, who signed for £6m in the summer, played the whole match as he aims to regain fitness.

Matt Derbyshire put the home side ahead just after a minute's play before striker Danny Graham equalised in the second half for the visitors.

Striker Sutton joins Aston Villa

Sutton has also played at Norwich, Blackburn, Chelsea, Celtic and Birmingham
Chris Sutton has signed for Aston Villa until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old, who became a free agent after Birmingham released him at the end of last season, becomes Martin O'Neill's third Villa signing.

Stilian Petrov and Didier Agathe, who like Sutton played for Celtic under O'Neill, are the other two captures.

Sutton told Villa's official website: "Hopefully I can fit in fairly well and knowing Stilian Petrov and Didier Agathe will obviously help."

The striker added: "I don't feel I've got a point to prove. I just want to do well.

"First and foremost I want to get fully fit and get into contention. I'll hopefully do that sooner rather than later and the aim is to soon be pushing for a starting place.

"Obviously I want to be fit as soon as I can. I had an operation a while back and I'm still recovering from that.

It's my own view that he didn't do himself justice at Birmingham City because of injury

Martin O'Neill

"I'm really looking forward to returning to action and the sooner I can get back to full fitness."

Manager O'Neill needed a striker after a shoulder injury to Luke Moore that may keep the youngster out for the rest of the season.

"I'm really pleased that Chris has come to join us. I obviously know him from Celtic and know what he's capable of," O'Neill told the Villa website.

"It's my own view that he didn't do himself justice at Birmingham City because of injury and it was a situation that forced him into seriously thinking about his playing future.

"But he decided to persevere and he's worked very hard to get himself back to full fitness before committing himself to a new club.

"He's come through a rigorous medical completely unscathed and a fit Chris Sutton will definitely add strength."

BRISTOL, Connecticut (Ticker) - Brett Favre may have a guaranteed spot in Canton, but it is not because of what he has done in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Eagles look to continue a rare rough stretch for the Green Bay Packers quarterback when the two teams wrap up Week Four with a Monday night matchup.
Philadelphia (2-1) has won each of the last four meetings with Green Bay (1-2), and all five of Favre's career starts in "The City of Brotherly Love."

The last three visits to Philadelphia have been especially forgettable for Favre, who will make his 225th consecutive start.
In a divisional playoff game in the 2003 season, Favre threw an ill-advised pass that was intercepted in overtime by Pro Bowl free safety Brian Dawkins. The miscue set up David Akers' field goal that gave the Eagles a 20-17 victory.
In 2004, Favre had the second-longest streak in NFL history with at least one touchdown pass stopped at 36 games in a 47-17 loss here to the Eagles.
Last November 27, Favre completed just 15-of-33 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in a 19-14 loss.
It does not appear like history will change much for Favre and the Packers, who appear in the midst of a down season despite posting a 31-24 victory at the Detroit Lions last week.
Favre extended his legacy as one of the top quarterbacks in NFL history in that contest, joining Dan Marino as the only two players to throw 400 career touchdowns.
Rebounding from a bitter fourth-quarter collapse against the New York Giants two weeks ago, Philadelphia posted a 38-24 victory at San Francisco last Sunday.
Running back Brian Westbrook accounted for 164 total yards and three touchdowns and Donovan McNabb passed for 296 yards and a pair of scores. Westbrook, who has been bothered by a nagging knee injury, entered Week Four leading the league with 420 yards from scrimmage and five TDs.
Another player who has had to deal with injuries throughout his career, Steve McNair continued his flying start with the Baltimore Ravens.
Directing a game-winning drive in the final minutes for the second consecutive week, McNair hit tight end Todd Heap with a 10-yard touchdown pass with 34 seconds remaining to give the Ravens a 16-13 victory over the San Diego Chargers (2-1).
Acquired from Tennessee in June to provide veteran leadership at quarterback, McNair has helped Baltimore start 4-0 for the first time in its history.
Another quarterback to deliver some late magic was the Indianapolis Colts' Peyton Manning.
Manning passed for a touchdown and ran for another score in the last 2:34 to lift the Colts to a 31-28 victory over the New York Jets (2-2) on Sunday.
A year after starting 13-0, the Colts (4-0) have won their first four games.
A club in no need of drama, the Chicago Bears (4-0) became the only unbeaten team left in the NFC after they rolled to a 37-6 victory over the Seattle Seahawks (3-1) on Sunday night.
It marks the first time Chicago has started 4-0 since 1991 when Mike Ditka was the coach

Danish director
getting decadent with "Duchess"Monday September 18 3:13 AM ET
Danish director Susanne Bier is attached to shoot "The Duchess," an 18th century love story about a media celebrity famed for dabbling in drugs and alcohol.
The independent project, based on Amanda Foreman's biography "Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire," focuses on a menage-a-trois involving bon vivant Georgiana Spencer, her husband and his live-in mistress, which leads Spencer to pursue true love with politician Charles Grey. The public affair threatened to destroy her marriage and reputation.
Bier, whose IFC Films drama "After the Wedding" screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, is working on DreamWorks' drama "Things We Lost in the Fire." She will begin shooting "Duchess" on location in the U.K. early next year
